Children's Hepatitis A & B Vaccine at a glance
Hepatitis A and hepatitis B are viral infections of the liver. Hepatitis A usually spreads through contaminated food or water, or direct contact with an infectious person. Hepatitis B spreads through infected blood or body fluids. Hepatitis A is rare in the UK.
The combined hepatitis A and B vaccine is an inactivated vaccine for children aged 1 to 15. It provides protection against both infections in one vaccine. Our pharmacists will review your child’s vaccination history and discuss the course during your personalised consultation.
The course consists of three doses. The second dose is given one month after the first, and the third five months after the second. Our pharmacists will discuss your child’s schedule at consultation.
Combined hepatitis A and B vaccination for children costs £50 per dose. Your travel consultation is free.
